The new Criminal Justice Center covers an area of 39,300 square meters and accommodates 1,300 employees in seven judicial authorities. These include the district court, the criminal divisions of the Munich I and II regional courts, the Munich I and II public prosecutor's offices, the criminal divisions of the higher regional court and the general public prosecutor's office. The ground-breaking ceremony took place on November 25, 2015 and the foundation stone was laid on July 16, 2018. According to the current schedule, the construction work will be completed in 2023.
